Notebook Grading Rubric

This notebook is designed as a study tool for you.

TIPS:  Use a 3-ring binder to stay organized.

Take notes every day in class.

Keep old assignments and use them to study from.

√+ (100 points)

• Date and lesson number are indicated at the top of the page. 
• Your notes contain all of the examples presented during class instruction and all of the vocabulary introduced from each section covered in your textbook.
• Your notebook contains all old assignments including homework, classwork and worksheets from the current marking period.
• Your notebook is organized so that all sections are in order (ex. 1-1, 1-2, 1-3…).

√ (75 points)

• Date and lesson number are inconsistently indicated at the top of the page. 
• Notebook contains more than half of the examples presented during class instruction and inconsistently of the vocabulary introduced from each section covered in your textbook.
• Your notebook contains some old assignments including homework, classwork and worksheets from the current marking period.
• Notebook is somewhat organized so that all sections are in order (ex. 1-1, 1-2, 1-3…).

√- (50 points)

• Date and lesson number are not indicated at the top of the page. 
• Notebook contains less than half of the examples presented during class instruction and less than half of the vocabulary introduced from each section covered in your textbook.
• Your notebook is missing old assignments including homework, classwork and worksheets from the current marking period.
• Notebook lacks organization.

• Notebook was handed in late.  Late notebooks will not be accepted more than 5 school days late.
