Video and Journalism classes are part of the Applied Technology Department. The courses provide students with the opportunity to develop skills in becoming effective communicators.
Class Offerings:
Video Communications - This is a one semester, introductory level class, exposing students to the concepts of creating visual communications and producing effective messages using video and audio.
Video Production - This full-year class follows the Video Communications class and explores advanced skills used in the filmmaking industry. Students will learn concepts in 3D animation, filmmaking, non-linear editing and DVD creation.
Journalism I & II - Students will learn the processes involved in newsgathering for print and broadcast journalism. Those enrolled in this class will produce the school newspaper, FOX61 news packages and television news shows for broadcast on public access. |
